Interviewing Customers No. 3

1) I will ask students if they have participated in intramural sports in the past. Secondly, I will ask them if they are interested in my intramural sports app, Sports 4 U, to get together and have fun.

2)

3) I've learned that this idea is very popular among my 'customers'. People liked the idea to hang out with friends and new people to get together and play sports they both enjoy.

  1. Hi Austin,

This is awesome - and you did a fantastic job on it! I think it would be totally cool to have an app like this at my disposal for any time I want to play sports. I think its really hard nowadays to find people to play sports with (people are too lazy and glued to their technology ;)). So finding people to play sports with is always a good time.

Thanks much for the share, good luck on your concept.

  2. Hey Austin,

The Sports4u app is an awesome idea as a way for students to recruit for a pick-up game in the sports that they enjoy participating in. I think it would really do well among the college community. Within every group of friends, there are always conflicting interests in which sports each person likes to play. This app would allow people to branch out from their typical circle of friends, meet new people, and maintain a more frequent activity-based lifestyle. I would of liked to see you explain your app in more detail and possibly add a few more questions to your interview that way I could better understand the functionality of the system. Besides that, I love your idea. Check out my potential unmet opportunity if you have some spare time. Your feedback would be priceless.

  3. Hi Austin,

Personally, I haven't played an intramural sport at UF yet although I would like to and my friends and I have talked about it. I think an application organizing it all with schedules and standings and sign ups would make it more intimate and a lot easier for students like me. I definitely would participate more as it would be easier and I think this app is a great way to be more involved and active. The only thing is I would add more questions to your interview. It's hard to get the public's opinion with only one question asked.

Here's the link to my interviews! Enjoy.

  4. Hello Austin,

I think you have a great idea by asking people if they would like the app to be able to go and connect with friends a little easier. I think it may help your cause a little if you asked them specifically what sports so that you could have the app more organized toward a specific group or groups. All in all, that is a great idea and I would use it.

  5. I think you're onto something with this app, because it appears to fill an unmet need. Given the user demographic, I doubt they will pay to use the application though-- but that's ok-- because they're a prime target for advertisers who will pay for the ability to advertise to your customer base.

  6. Hello Austin, I think that this would be a great idea. I am a freshman and I want to go out and get involved with sports because my roommates do not do that much physically. I got involved with club baseball here but I would still like to do some intramural activities so I believe that the Sports4u app would be successful. I would say that you should go check out my last set of interviews but I forgot to do them (oops)! Good luck the rest of the semester!
